What to Bring to Camp Each Day

Fishers Parks Camp T-shirt
Each camper will receive two T-shirts. For safety and security reasons, we ask that a 2025 Fishers Parks camp T-shirt be worn daily. Camp T-shirts help counselors and staff quickly identify campers in public settings (field trips, playgrounds, etc.) if needed.

Appropriate Shoes
Campers may be in a variety of environments (athletics, water play, hiking, etc.), so it is very important that they wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes each day to camp. No sandals or open-toe shoes will be permitted for safety reasons. Sneakers or Crocs are recommended.

Lunch + Snacks
All campers must bring a shelf-stable lunch to camp each day, as well as a morning and afternoon snack. Refrigeration will not be provided. Lunchboxes and ice packs (if needed) are recommended.

Water Bottle
Campers will be very active, so it’s important for them to stay well hydrated! Each child must bring a full, reusable water bottle to camp each day.

Camp Field Trips

Weekly field trips are included in the cost of registration at full-day camps at Hoosier Road Elementary and Brooks School Elementary. Stay tuned for 2025 field trips.

Camp Direct Phone Lines

For each camp location, there is a dedicated direct phone line to the counseling staff and head counselor(s). This line will be used for counselors to notify parents of any issues that may arise with their child. It also is a way for parents to directly communicate with our staff in the event of an emergency, unforeseen early pickup, illness or absence, etc.

Need immediate assistance? Please call the Fishers Parks HQ at 317-595-3150, or email Fishers Parks at parks@fishers.in.us.

Fishers Parks offer refunds for most paid activities and summer camps based on the time between cancellation and the event date:

  • Full Refund Issued – 14+ days prior to event
  • 50% Refund Issued – 7 to 13 days prior to event
  • No Refund Issued – Less than 7 days prior to event

The 3% credit card convenience fee paid at the time of payment is non-refundable. Refunds apply only to the cost of the registration, rental, or damage deposit only.

Waitlists

Waitlists will be kept for all camp offerings in the event of sold-out registration. There is no fee to be placed on a waitlist. We will contact you if an event slot opens or if another session is added.

If you are moved from the waitlist due to a new opening in the camp, you will receive email notification. In this instance, you will have a 24-hour window of opportunity to then register. You must register in that timeframe, or the opportunity will be closed and given to the next person on the waiting list.

Free & Reduced Summer Camp Scholarships

Fishers Parks offers scholarships for HSE Schools students who are enrolled in the free or reduced lunch program. To be eligible for these rates, parents must register their child for summer camp either via email (parks@fishers.in.us) or in person at the Fishers Parks office, 8100 E. 106th St., Suite 150 (inside the Hub & Spoke building). Parents must provide a copy of the current school year letter from the HSE food-service department stating the child’s name. If contacting by email, please also provide the name of the child, the camp you want them registered in, and their shirt size along with the necessary documentation.

To acquire documentation, please call HSE Schools at 317-594-4381. Scholarships are limited to one camp per student each summer.

Inclement Weather Policy

We will make every effort to hold camps as scheduled, while keeping the safety of our campers and staff in mind. In the event of inclement weather, campers will be moved to an indoor or sheltered location. In the even of an emergency weather situation, campers and staff will shelter in place, or, depending on the location of the camp, parents/guardians will be notified

Resident vs. Non-resident Costs

A city resident is any person who resides within the corporate city limits of Fishers and pays the appropriate taxes to support City of Fishers Parks activities and services. Fishers residents receive a discount because they pay taxes to the City of Fishers. Non-residents pay the full amount of the camp because they are not already paying property taxes to the City of Fishers.

Check your residency status via Hamilton County Property Reports.
