Become a Junior Lifeguard!

The purpose of our Junior Lifeguard Camp is to increase self-confidence and promote safe behavior in the aquatic environment. Geared toward individuals ages 11-14 who are comfortable in water, each camp week will offer campers the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills including first aid, CPR, and rescue techniques (junior lifeguarding does not certify participants in first aid, CPR/AED, or as a lifeguard).

This camp encourages participants to take on leadership roles, as well as challenge them mentally and physically. In addition to learning the primary responsibilities of a lifeguard, Junior Lifeguard Camp is action packed with fun activities, games, and free swim. All campers registered will receive a junior lifeguard waist pack/crossbody bag, camp shirt, and junior lifeguard lanyard.

Junior Lifeguard Camp is run by Geist Waterfront Park lifeguards. Registration is limited to ensure lifeguards are able to maintain the safety of the park.

***This is a 4-day camp week to observe the July 4th holiday. There will be no camp held on Friday, July 4. Cost is pro-rated.
