Description

One of the City’s most frequented parks, Brooks School Park (11780 Brooks School Road) is known for its many inclusive ways to play and explore in Fishers, tucked just southeast of the Sandstone subdivision at 116th Street and Brooks School Road, the park totals 16.5 acres of fun for all ages and abilities.

Brooks School Park is perhaps one of Fishers’ most multi-faceted parks, offering activities for all interests. The park boasts multiple athletic facilities, including an open play area popular for soccer and rugby games, and a full-size basketball court. It is also the only park in Fishers offering a horseshoe pit.

Looking for a new running path? Runners and walkers will enjoy the quarter-mile multi- use trail loop accessible from 116th Street, and little ones will delight in exploring the park’s unique Born Learning Trail, a United Way initiative focusing on early education. The bold colors and designs lead young children along the path, offering a series of 10 interactive activities for preschool-age children to learn and explore in their environment.

Along with vibrant trails, the park also offers a bridge and dock overlooking Mud Creek where visitors can relax and enjoy the fall foliage.

Another unique feature of Brooks School Park is the inclusive, ADA-accessible playground. With twenty-one different activities to explore, including slides, bridges, a sensory play area with instruments, and climbing rocks situated on a rubberized surface, the playground is accessible for all ability levels. The park is also a popular spot for get- togethers with family and friends. A picnic shelter is available for the public to rent, and several picnic tables offer the perfect place for a fall picnic.
