Description

Tucked away on the east side of Fishers, Flat Fork Creek Park (16141 E 101st Street) is the perfect place to escape the busyness of the season and unplug in nature. The park, located at 101st Street and Cyntheanne Road, is just over 60 acres and boasts unique and diverse amenities and activities for every age, ability, and interest.
Perhaps the park’s most well-known feature is the 60-foot sledding hill, which is the tallest point in Hamilton County. Every winter, children and families make their way to the giant hill with sleds and saucers in hand ready for a day of winter fun.
During warmer months, children and adults hit the trails on the 1.25-mile progressive mountain bike course that winds throughout the woods and includes various ramps and technical features for both beginners and advanced bikers.
Another popular amenity is the fishing pond, which is a favorite spot for residents to drop in a line and enjoy a day of fishing. A state fishing license is required to fish in the pond (ages 17 and under do not need a license).
The park also offers several inclusive amenities to ensure play for all ability levels, including an ADA accessible treehouse that is perfect for observing wildlife or enjoying the scenic view of Flat Fork Creek. The paved multi-use trail and boardwalk that loop around the park are also accessible, and paved ramps lead the way to the top of the sledding hill allowing visitors and residents of all abilities to enjoy one of the best views in Fishers.
In additional to being inclusive, the park also protects the environment. Nearly 20 acres of park are dedicated reforestation areas protecting the area’s local habitat. These areas are located near the entrance of the park, as well as throughout the progressive bike trails.
A shelter with picnic tables is available to rent throughout the year and is the perfect area for outdoor birthday parties and family get-togethers. For more information and to rent the facility online, visit fishersparks.com/Rentals.
