The City of Fishers in partnership with Hub&Spoke are currently developing a trailhead at 106th Street and the Nickel Plate Trail. This trailhead will extend onto the Hub&Spoke property at 8100 E. 106th Street, where the Fishers Parks HQ is located, to include a courtyard with public tables and seating, fire pits, open green space, swings, and significantly improved accessibility to the Nickel Plate Trail.
The project is expected to be complete and open to the public in late Spring 2025.
Connections
Pedestrian activity will be increased in the area upon completion, providing enhanced access from the parking lot at Hub & Spoke, as well as directly off of the Hub&Spoke building. These enhancements come approximately one year after Fishers Parks developed the direct connection from the Cheeney Creek Natural Area to the Nickel Plate Trail at 106th Street, adding a parking lot, lighting, and other safety features, just across 106th Street from the Hub&Spoke building.
The new plaza and courtyard will serve as an inviting space for the community to gather, whether you’re attending an event with Fishers Parks, taking a class at Maker Playground, grabbing a drink at Niyyah Coffee with a friend, or shopping home design elements from businesses inside the building, the new space is flexible and welcoming.
